Koeth Collection – Radiation Detection Instruments

Koeth Collection – Radiation Detection Instruments

Author: Tim

Tim’s “Koeth Collection” began at age 10 with his first CDV-715 Civil Defense ion chamber. The collection has over 100 “antique” radiation detection instruments which are all on display at the University of Maryland.

Cabinets #1 & #2
Cabinets #3, #4, & #5.

Cabinets #4 & #5
Cabinet #5
The Precision Instrument Company’s line of prospecting instruments.
The bottom shelf are where all the cutie-pie’s hang out.
The Classmaster.
A dekatron tube based scalar ratemeter, and lead shield for GM tube.
Cabinet #3 open, US and German military instruments.
Oremaster and Radiac units.
Pocket dosimeters, R-Chambers, assorted GM tubes and scintillation crystals
More dosimeters.
A chemical dosimeter – 450 Roentgens (yikes!)
All variations on the CDV-700 theme.
The Nucleus scalar and GM tubes.
CDV-700 & CDV-705 speaker
These are special to Tim, see next pic for explanation.
