The pole transformer Jacobs Ladder coated with a lithium pasted to give it that crimson glow.

The ladder leads are made of 1/4-inch copper refrigeration tubing.
These photos do not do the in-person experience justice, one can feel the 60Hz in the air and feel the heat several feet away.
This pole transformer is 10kVa, with 220V in –> 13.8kV out.
The clamp on ammeter peaked at over 120 Amps, with 220VAC driving it – without PF correction, that is around 25kVa – which is the rating of our dedicated pole transformer supplying the power.
